Bye-bye diapers!

Chloe has an announcement to make:
She is all done with diapers!! WOOO HOOOO!!!!! This makes mommy's life 33.3333% easier (in the diaper department that is). She did awesome from day 1 of potty training and now 2 weeks later she rarely has an accident. She hasn't figured out that she can go pee-pee when we are out and about, so she'll hold it for up to 4 hours at a time. I'm going to start taking a potty with me when ever we go out. Thank God for minivans! We're so proud of you Chloe!!!! Here's our BIG GIRL:

A few beers

I let the girls play outside by themselves while Coby was napping. We have a small fenced in yard and I can see them right out the kitchen widow. They have cars, a slide and balls out there but of course playing with the recycling is much more fun!

What do you think?

Should we go down the big slide?

One of Coby's favorite passtimes

Dumping the dog water/food ALL over the floor and all over himself.

Take TWO!!

These photos were taken on the same day as the last ones. It was such a beautiful day that we went outside to play after naps. Daddy had just gotten home so the kids were all waiting for him on the front porch. I took about 20 photos. I'm not super crazy about Chloe's hair, it was kind of an experiment. But it was a miracle that I got them all to sit still AND within 10 feet of each other! I'm going to try again today with some Christmas outfits. Here are a few of my favorites.

Snacktime!

Just enjoying a little outside fun while we have a break from the rain. (oh AND the girls let mommy fix their hair).

Little Miss Taylor

Little miss Taylor is back in diapers. I won't bore you with the details. (Chloe is almost totally trained). So at least we only have 2 in diapers now. We're going to try again with Taylor in a month of so.

Christmas Card.......DISASTER

We finally got a break from the rain! Today Jake and I took the kids to a beautiful park to try and get a cute photo for our Christmas card. We took 87 photographs. Here are the 5 best. (Please vote for your favorite photo of the 3 kids).

When Daddy's in charge

He lets you play with garbage!

Pigtails, Potties, Picky Eaters and P.S.

So Chloe let me put pigtails in her hair(they lasted 5 seconds).

In other news the potty training is going really well. We had 3 really "intense potty training days." During these days I had the girls drink a TON of liquid and we stayed home and went potty every 1/2 hour. I rolled up all the rugs in the house and put the girls in underpants. This way if there is an accident it's not a big deal. After 3 days Chloe really started to understand what this potty stuff is all about. Taylor totally gets it, but is fighting it. The competition between the 2 of them helps a lot. We went from clapping and dancing to buying fun underpants to giving out treats. It's been about a week now and Chloe is just about there. She hasn't had an accident in 2 days. And Taylor, we're still trying to figure out how to get inside that little head of hers. Here's one thing that really helps the potty training. We have the coolest toilet ever and when you go on the potty you get to pull the chain. Here's Chloe oh so excited to flush!

And Mr. cute guy is making some progress on his eating habits. Today he ate 3 bites of a PB and J, raisins and cheese, and 6 jars of baby veggies and meat. He still has a major spaz attack every time I try and feed him baby food BUT after I put him in a head lock and shove one bite in his mouth he decides he likes it and eats 2 or 3 jars. We do this at every meal but I can usually get him to eat at least 2 jars. I think he is getting a few molars so I'll keep giving him the mushy stuff as long as he'll eat it.

And P.S.
I've had a few people ask about the baby story update show. They decided to wait until the beginning of the year to film the update shows. It's still up in the air if we'll do it or not. It has to be filmed in NYC and we kind of swore off traveling until our kids are teenagers. :) We'll see how brave we feel when the time comes. The producer said that it might be fun for us to film the plane ride from PDX-NYC. Fun?!?!? I think TORTURE might be a better word for it.

"Oh no, you pooped on Elmo!"

I will go into more detail later on our potty training/potty progress. But here is a quick story for you. I took Chloe to Target all by herself to pick out her own undies. And surprise surprise she picked the Elmo ones. She had been pretty consistent with the peepee in the potty, but kept messing her pants. So we made a big deal about keeping Elmo "clean." A few hours later, she pooped in the Elmo underpants. Daddy said in a very calm, soft voice "oh no honey, you pooped on Elmo." As soon as he got those words out of his mouth Chloe's jaw dropped and she burst into tears. (Like my dog just got run over by a car tears). We tried everything, we couldn't calm her down. Poor little thing was completely hysterical for about 30 minutes. How did we get her to stop? We had to turn on the t.v. and show her that Elmo was indeed alive and well. She took one look at Elmo on the tv, got a huge smile on her face and said..."Elmo all better." Needless to say, she hasn't made that mistake again!
Here's our little spaz picking out her own undies(Taylor was away at Grandmas potty camp).
