2nd hardest part about saying goodbye

Sorry Mike, Betsey beat you to #1. :) Lets see where do I begin. Mike was one of the first people I met in College. He lived next door to me. We've been great friends from the very first day we met. We spent nearly every day together in college, and he's been a huge part of my life ever since. He's the one guy, other than Jake, that I know I can count on for anything. The last 4 years my life have changed so much. He was there at all the big events-- my graduation from college, my wedding, the day I brought my baby girls home from Vietnam, the birth of my son, the day we packed up our entire house to move cross country. He is the one person I know will be there when things are crazy and I need help. He spent the entire night at the hospital, hanging out with the grandmas, the night I was in labor with Coby. Coby was born at 6:13am and Mike had to be at work the next day, but he waited in the waiting room until 7am so he could see the baby before he headed off to work at 8am. He spent a good part of his day folding napkins and entertaining flower girls the day before my wedding. He was the only one who helped us load and unload our moving truck when we moved into our house 3 years ago and he was the only one who showed up at the crack of dawn yesterday to help us move cross country. He took the day off of work and spent 8 hours helping me pack and take care of 3 crying/sick babies. We get to see him at least 2x a week and he spends at least one weekend day with us each week, which is pretty awesome, considering he's a young, good looking single guy. Hanging out with a housewife and 3 babies under 2 can't be the most exciting part of his week. :) But he always makes time for us. We've been lucky to have Mike be such a huge part of our lives. The only thing that makes leaving okay is to know that Mike is leaving too. He's moving to Florida with 2 of his good friends at the end of the summer. We are going to miss Mike so much! The babies adore him. One of Taylors first words was "Mike." We love you Mike, please come visit us often!!

How awesome that you have such great friends; I hope the move goes well and that you enjoy the road trip as a family and with Mike along. It's a great feeling knowing we've got friends out there who are willing to come when called.
