SWB seeks CBG

Cute 7 month old seeks attractive baby girl for play dates, stroller riding or to share a sippy cup. My interests include bottles, cookie monster, crawling, baby bjorn rides, cheerios and mommy. You must like soft foods, long stroller rides in the park, story time, and cookie monster. If you have molars need not apply. Must be between the ages of 4 mos and 11 mos and must not hit, bite or make loud high pitched noises like my sisters. Here are some pictures from a recent photo shoot taken on my couch:

Taylor's new strange habit

Lately Taylor has been stuffing random things down her shirt. It's usually a toy but in this case it was a big piece of cardboard. Somehow I managed to put her in the car and buckle her in her carseat without noticing. When we started walking into the children's museum I noticed her shirt was sticking out funny. She had a huge piece of cardboard in there. I took it out and she started crying, ripped it out of my hand and immediately stuck it back down her shirt(pictured below). Then she happily walked away. We love her even though she's strange.

The different ways they play

It amazes me how different Taylor and Chloe are. Chloe likes to play with people, not toys. She is a very loud baby, almost always either laughing or crying. Taylor on the other hand enjoys puzzles, playing with shape sorters and organizing her toys. She almost always picks up after herself. She'll play with a toy then put it right back where she found it before she plays with something else. Chloe likes to dump out the toy box and then put it on her head and run around laughing her head off. Taylor will take each toy out of the toy box one at a time, inspect it and figure out how to take it apart. She tries to do weird things like grab 3-d objects off of pages in her books or turn the pages, that aren't really pages, of her board books. She gets really mad when she can't do something like take the ice cream off of her play ice cream cone. Chloe grabs the pretend ice cream cone, goes "mmmmmm" licks it and flings it across the room. Here they are playing 2 feet apart in completely different worlds.(poor coby is not always happy to play chloe's games, but hey--who ever said being a little brother would be easy)?

Mommy take my picture!

The girls are just starting to get that they are supposed to SMILE when you take their picture. This is the very first time that both of them posed and smiled for a picture at the same time! Gamma(Jake's mom) was lucky enough to be a part of it. :) I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle the cuteness if they do this often.

Another awesome family picture

When life kicks your butt

Lately life has been rough. We've got the kids on a very strict schedule, which makes life manageable. But lately we've had a couple of weeks that have been much harder than the usual 20 something diaper changes, 15 bottles, 6+ outfits, 3 baths, 9 meals a day. Our refrigerator broke about 2 weeks ago and the new one comes Wed. I will never again take the fridge for granted! We've been living out of a small icebox. I've been trying to continue to feed the kids healthy, balanced meals, despite not having a fridge which means daily trips to the grocery store to buy fresh meat, veggies and milk.

Taylor and Chloe are starting to get more challenging and they have more energy that ever before! Taylor monkey climbs on everything and gets into everything. And Chloe is our little copycat, so multiply that times 2. We are also trying to sell our house, which means open houses and realtors stopping by at any time. It's kind of stressful trying to keep everything super clean all the time. And to top it all off I somehow managed to get sick, stupid sick like you get in the dead of winter. What's that about? It's been 70 degrees all week.

But the good news the kids are all healthy and cute as can be, Gamma came to visit so I got 3 naps in one day, and broken fridge + being sick was exactly what I needed to finally get back to my pre-pregnancy weight! To celebrate I'm eating super cheesy double crust pepperoni pizza. Oh and daddy decided the ditch all the plastic bottles and toys and switch over to glass bottles and wooden toys.

Here are the three little munchkins with their new and improved bottles. They aren't too excited about the change.

Happy 19 months baby girls!

Our little babies are 19 mos. today. I cannot believe how much they have changed in the last year. Last April we had two very sick little girls and this April we have two very healthy, happy, and energetic little girls. They are really starting to talk a lot and repeat almost everything we say. Yesterday when we got home from the park Taylor walked up the stairs looked at Jake and said "hi dad!" I've got some great video and new photos to share, but my computer needs to be cleared off before I can upload anything else. So here are a few photos from last week at the park.

They destroyed the Gap

I know what you're thinking. How can 2 babies this cute be so naughty? Can the terrible twos show up 6 mos early? Lately I can't take these two anywhere. They want to walk everywhere and won't sit in a stroller for more than 30 seconds. I took the girls out to run some errands while Coby and dad took morning naps. The post office was a mild disaster. I foolishly decided to make a quick trip to the Gap to have the girls try on a few dresses. (I usually buy all of their clothing online, but we are having their pictures taken and I wanted to make sure I ordered the right size dresses). As soon as we walk inside they both run off in opposite directions. Within seconds Taylor was undressing the mannequin. She had the mannequin's shoes and was running around holding one in each hand yelling "shoes, shoes!" I pick her up only to find Chloe holding a stack of about 10 pairs of girls' jeans. I put Taylor down to fix what Chloe had destroyed and then Taylor grabs about 20 t-shirts and starts running as fast as she can flinging them left and right. It didn't help that we were the only ones in the store. Anyway I managed to pick them both up, grab the dresses and head towards the dressing room. Boy was that fun, running in and out of each dressing room, banging hangers against the mirrors, slamming doors and climbing all over the place. What happened to the 2 well behaved little girls that used to stand right by my side? Thank God Coby can't walk.

Just busy being cute
