Christmas Eve

My parents and Grandma came over for Christmas Eve. More photos to come but my camera just died mid-upload. Chloe's present the doodle pro was HUGE hit. I think we may just have to buy one more of those. ;)

Cutest Bedhead Ever

Tons of Snow!!!!

It's not supposed to snow in Portland, but it's been snowing all week! We have so much snow that our van is stuck! Here are the girls checking out the snow at Grandma and Grandpas house.

Visiting Great Grandma

Here the girls are visiting their Great Grandma. They LOVE her and always have so much fun at her house. She always has a bunch of fun toys and snacks. When it was time to go the girls both said "Thank you Great Grandma, we wuv you."

Christmas party

On Saturday my parents and I took the girls to my dad's Christmas party. Coby stayed in Portland with Jake, because he's kind of a handful these days. :) Taylor and Chloe had so much fun. They spent most of the time running around the room laughing. I didn't get any great photos but here are few.

Aunt Betsey has arrived

The girls were SO excited to see Aunt Betsey. Chloe couldn't stop smiling and hugging her. Taylor was kind of stand offish at first. She had this look on her face like "hey how come you haven't come over for 6 months?" Here they are reading stories before bedtime.

The Maybe Babies

Two years ago today Jake and I walked into our agencies office to hand in our paperwork. We had a list of things to talk to them about, such as adopting 1 or 2 children, wait times, etc. To our surprise we were given the referral of two baby girls, right there in the office! Neither of us expected this, we had planned on waiting at least until Aug for our referral. I, of course, burst in to tears the minute I saw their photo. I couldn't believe I was a mom, just like that! Everything happened so fast. We hadn't told anyone except a few close friends and my parents about our adoption plans. After Christmas we broke the news to the rest of the family and I quit my job. We nick named Taylor and Chloe the "maybe babies" because we felt like things were too good to be true until we were actually holding them in our arms. (of course that didn't keep me from shopping!) Here are a few photos taken the day Jake and I found out we were going to be parents to two of the cutest little girls we'd ever seen.

SO you think you can dance?

It was hard to capture Coby's dance moves on camera. This is my best attempt. He had already been dancing for about 10 minutes when I got the camera out, so he wasn't as into it here. He made up this routine where he waves his arms up and down, stomps one leg a few times, nods his head about 6 times and then twirls around. He does this everytime a new song come on. It's pretty cute. I couldn't get the entire thing on film, but I did capture a few of his moves. Enjoy!

Hooray!

Coby talks alot

Jake and Chloe went to pick out our Christmas tree. It was freezing out so I stayed home with Taylor and Coby. I told Taylor that Daddy and Chloe were going to get the tree and she said "Daddy get Anna and Dosh (Josh) too?" It's funny the stuff kids remember. Anna and Josh helped us decorate my parents tree so Taylor thinks that
tree = Anna and Josh. Here a few photos of the kids and the tree.

The little builder

Coby built this all by himself! He was so proud so I took his photo.

We're Back!

We've had a busy couple of weeks. Top 5 things that happened during our break:
1)My sister Anna got engaged! Woo Hoo!!!
2)My brother Andrew announced baby girl #2 is on the way.
3)My brother Nathan may come to visit after Christmas. (he hasn't met the kids yet)
4)Coby had his first kiss (some random baby girl at gymnastics class).
5)Coby made up his first dance routine, oh and he likes to wear Chloe's dress shoes while he does it. Should we be worried?

And the girls are getting cuter by the day. They are speaking SO much more, like actual sentences!! My favorite one is "oh mommy, I wuv you." It snowed yesterday and Taylor came running up to me and said "Look mommy, it's winter outside!"

Here's a few photos I took last weekend. Chloe has ketchup all over her face, but they were so cute I couldn't resist snapping a few photos.

The Fab 4

A few photos from a park playdate with our 2 favorite girls Priya and Josie. It's going to be fun to see these girls grow up together. They are already really starting to bond with each other. The other day Taylor was really naughty at the grocery store and when she got home I told her to go tell daddy what she did. She walked up to daddy and said "Josie did it!" Why do I have a feeling she'll be saying the same thing when she's 15?

Break time

I've decided to take a break from blogging for awhile. I can barely keep up with my three crazy toddlers, and 4-5 hours of sleep a night just isn't cutting it. (And you don't even want to know what the house looks like). I'll be spending all of my free time sleeping and catching up on projects around the house. We'll see you in a couple of weeks! (I will post a few videos-that's one of my projects). Hope everyone enjoys the holidays! We're looking forward to 2 weeks of Aunt Betsey and Uncle Mike. PARTY TIME!!!!

Oh and the reason my house is such a mess is because it's really hard to move when you're constantly covered in babies!
