The Maybe Babies
Two years ago today Jake and I walked into our agencies office to hand in our paperwork. We had a list of things to talk to them about, such as adopting 1 or 2 children, wait times, etc. To our surprise we were given the referral of two baby girls, right there in the office! Neither of us expected this, we had planned on waiting at least until Aug for our referral. I, of course, burst in to tears the minute I saw their photo. I couldn't believe I was a mom, just like that! Everything happened so fast. We hadn't told anyone except a few close friends and my parents about our adoption plans. After Christmas we broke the news to the rest of the family and I quit my job. We nick named Taylor and Chloe the "maybe babies" because we felt like things were too good to be true until we were actually holding them in our arms. (of course that didn't keep me from shopping!) Here are a few photos taken the day Jake and I found out we were going to be parents to two of the cutest little girls we'd ever seen.

Congrats on your 2 year referral date. Sure does seem like it should be more than 2 years ago huh? Your family is beautiful...enjoy your day

Wow, I couldn't even imagine just going in to ask a few questions and coming out with a picture of those two beautiful girls. I'm crying just thinking about it. Happy referral day!! Ours is Jan. 2nd.
Memories! Hey-it's also the day we first met-in PLAN's office that day as I scrambled to pick up my homestudy and rush it to Salem to get it notarized and sent to the VN embassy . . .
Those were the days;) If I never have to get anything else notarized again-I'll be happy.
What a neat way to get a referral!
