Coby Paints

Coby has been into everything the girls do lately. He used to be okay with just coloring when they painted, but not anymore! I let him paint for the first time this week. He LOVED it. He was using water colors but he decided to turn them into finger paints and he also figured his shirt was more fun to paint then the paper. I couldn't decide which photos were the cutest, so here's a bunch!

Don't worry momma

Just wanted to document this:
Today was rough day (we've had alot of those lately). We're all really sick. I can handle sick kids but when I get sick AND the kids are sick it's really hard.
Today Coby was crying, and I was holding him on the couch trying to settle him down. I didn't feel good and I guess Taylor noticed I was having a rough time. She climbed up on the chair next to me, put her arms around my neck, game me a kiss and said "Don't worry momma, everything's going to be okay." Then she patted my head and looked me in the eyes and said "okay momma?" She can be such a stinker, but she's so empathetic and so darn sweet sometimes.

And here's a few photos she insisted I take of her the other day. She's into smiling now so she can "see" how cute she looks.

*A few other cute things she's been saying are
"I don't want to eat, I don't want to play, I just want to go to Grandma's house"
And when I reply "We can't go there today, it's too far away (it's an hour drive).
She says "Mom, it's just down the street!"

A Baby Story re-run

A friend of mine told me that our episode will be on again on Friday. I know a few people asked me to post when it would air again. I think it's on around 2 depending where you live.

A little sunshine

It rained everyday last week, but we did get one afternoon of sunshine, so it was off to the park!

A Busy Week

We had 3 visitors stay with us last week. My two cousins, Lizzy and Charity, and Jake's mom Susan. I have tons of cute photos coming. Here's one a few from last week.

What is your 2 year old reading?

Apparently she didn't have time to finish the article she was reading so she took it with her to naptime.

The BIG interview

Normally I would say that if you poop your pants in the middle of any interview it is automatically a bad interview. And that is just what Chloe AND Taylor did, right after I was telling the teacher how they were both potty trained. And to make matters worse I didn't have a single diaper or pull up or a pair of training pants in my car. So I just put their jeans back on and prayed they wouldn't pee all over the floor.

Despite the poop they both passed! And we'll be enrolling them for the fall! Woo hoo!!

Happy Birthday Uncle Mike!

Taylor and Chloe made Uncle Mike this birthday video. How cute are they?

And by the way Chloe is the BEST singer ever. She sings all day long and her favorite song to sing is a sesame street song. She kind of butchers it and says "Sing Song, make it simple, worry if it's not good enough." and she sings that over and over. She's pretty much the cutest kid that ever lived right now.

Preschools, potties and exhausted mom

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. We've been busy and all of my extra time has been spent sleeping. I used think having 3 under 1 was as hard as it would get, but 3 in the terrible twos is quite a challenge. Coby went through a couple of weeks of MAJOR tantrums, but he seems to be over the worst of it now. He still throws them but only for a few minutes, not for hours like before. Taylor is finally potty trained for the most part. She still has accidents if we are out for long periods of time, but at home she's pretty good. The girls are totally out of diapers, except for nighttime and I have started putting Coby in cloth diapers. It's amazing how much we've been saving on diapers lately!
We've finally found a preschool we like for the girls. It was a really long, confusing process but I found one I love, that's affordable and close to home and I'm hoping the girls get in. I have had them on the waiting list since last Nov. and they have their big interview on March 18th. Pretty silly that you need to interview to get into preschool, but whatever. :) Well I haven't taken many photos lately but here's a few random ones from last month.

Coby's first haircut

Chloe's first haircut

Taylor

There's no video of Taylor's haircut because she didn't have enough hair to cut! She did get her bangs trimmed a little. AND she dressed herself that day. Can you tell? She insists on wearing Coby's grungy orange jacket everywhere we go now. She throws a huge fit if I don't let her wear it. Looks like Coby needs to start shopping for a new spring coat.

First haircuts!

We finally broke down and took the babies in for their first haircuts. I have been putting it off for awhile because who wants to cut off that beautiful soft shiny baby hair? I'll post a few photos soon but for now here's a couple of videos.
